April Words From the Heart Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to the April Words from the Heart Challenge.
SBE CT Members Nancy Hill and Lynda Choquette (funwithpics) challenge you to make your memories more meaningful to family and friends by including journaling on your Scrapbook pages. Remember, you will not always be there to describe who is in your photos, what they were doing, what was important to them, when was the photo taken and other important details.

Here's a preview of the posting gifts being offered for the April Words from the Heart Challenge. This months cluster frames were made by Lynda and Nancy using products from In Memorium Page Set by Rina Kroes and Kimberly Stewart. To qualify for the gifts, the journaling on your scrapbook page must answer the two questions: Who is in the photo and When was the photo taken. You must also answer at least one of What, Where and Why.


.Your pages must be made primarily with SBE products and posted in the Words from the Heart Gallery (http://www.sbelements.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=573). Then please come back and link us up in this thread!! Be sure that you have your PM preferences (in your User CP) set so that you can receive PM's, as that is the only way that we can send you links to the gifts!!!


.Pages must be posted by 12 midnight EST on April 30, 2009, and remember that you must make a separate layout for each challenge at SBE.

TenBelle, so many of us have problems with journaling but remember that us scrappers (did you know that I'm a scrappy Hoppy Easter Bunny??? Yep!!!) are capturing memories for generations to come! Have you ever picked up an old photo and wondered who it was, what they were doing, when it was that they were doing it? Think of it as a little post it note on a photo to give that information and maybe tell a little of the "story" behind the photo so those who come behind us know who we are/were! You're definitely on the right road here!!! And as a big kudos, here's a goodie for your Easter basket!

OOPS! I posted my LO in the wrong gallery! Sorry!! They were truly special people and have inspired me all my life. This is just a moment from their lives that is special.

She was 17 when they met and he was 26. Tent revivals back then drew people from all over, sometimes even across state lines. People were so hungry for the Word, and it didn't hurt that the traveling minister was single either! lol!!

I need to work on filling the whole page better.... Oh well, I'll keep trying!

I've been really focused on the "little things" lately. When we went to the park, I took a lot of pictures of the plants and birds in addition to the usual pictures of my boys and their friends. I scrapped this layout as soon as I got home... I love digital scrapbooking!!

This was also the first template I created and used. It's very clean and simple, but that tends to be my style. Making layouts has become so much more fun since I discovered how to use clipping masks in Photoshop :)
