December Newsletter Gift Links

Firstly let me say that the site looks wonderful - thank you so much for all of your hard work.

I have just received the copy of my December Newsletter (I had not received it previously so thanks for the resend) and for the first time ever had to copy/paste the newsletter link into my browser rather than just clicking on your link and when clicking on the links in the body of the newsletter I am not forwarded to the gift or to the gifter's site. :help:

I was going to sit back and see if anyone else had this problem but after reading John's thread about letting him know and thus helping him to pinpoint any problem quickly I have jumped in. I have not changed any settings on my computer.

I am loving the look of the gifts and looking forward to downloading them. :yes2: Thanks once again for a wonderful site.

I've already admitted that somehow the normally hidden link to the Newsletter was screwed up, but that is also why we have always included the text link with instructions to copy and paste if the normal link did not work.

As for the "gifts" not being available to you, it sounds like you are using your browser to access the Newsletter, and that it is getting confused. I just loaded (from the text link) the Newsletter into Adobe Reader v8 directly, and had no trouble getting the files to download, other than to say yes to bringing up a browser to get to the link.

Try opening up the Newsletter in Adobe directly. You cna also try clearing the cache and temp files for your browser as well.

Thanks John. I was able to access the links normally the following day. Maybe it was a glitch with my server as I have never had this problem before with your newsletter.
